Are you easy to get along with?

"Of course I'm easy to get along with. I mean, all my team members like me and I always listen to everyone to whatever they want to say and I always try to please them as much as I can."

"In my current role, I'm working on a project with other five team members where we have to deliver a software application. There are many challenges because we are very much a startup, and team communication/interpersonal skills are essential elements of any successful delivery. For this, we have regular meetings, we always keep things updated and complement each other within our work. Whenever I feel like something is not right, I just stand up and say, or I should rather say, we raise that issue with that person that's responsible for the specific feature."

Why Amazon?

"Amazon is the most amazing company on earth and I'm very much a believer of your customer obsession mentality and I always wanted to work for this company."

"I want to work at Amazon for three reasons:
1. [Praise Amazon] (赞美公司的成就或理念);
2. [How can you make a difference] Why would they pick you and not someone else? How can you differentiate yourself? (你能为亚马逊带来什么不同?为什么选你?);
3. [What's in it for you] Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

"I've worked for 15 years in this rather large corporation, but I think my projects can only go this far in terms of scale. Amazon has a scale that's never seen before, so this is an essential reason of me becoming super interested in this opportunity."

What's your weakness?

"I believe my weakness is that I work sometimes too hard."

* 示范 1:生活平衡与地域挑战 text "I believe work-life balance is something that I struggle with at times. Because I live in New York and my wife lives in Seattle, and the job is in Seattle, so work-life balance is not the best right now, which would be fixed if I do this [move to Seattle]." * Lack of specific experience

Tell me about a time when you had a conflict on a team.

"I remember four years ago I had a teammate who was really rude with me... he didn't listen to me and he never paid attention to details... I even raised this issue with my manager. Unfortunately, he ended up leaving the project."

"In a previous project, I had a colleague with whom we weren't getting along too well. We had both strong personalities. For example, we had to deliver a software application and he had his idea for a layout and I had mine. What I did there was always to try to diffuse the situation by communicating efficiently. We called meetings to discuss what was the best interface layout. Whenever we couldn't arrive to a conclusion, we would call in our manager. It happened quite often that he was right, in which case I would definitely defer to their judgment and implemented this way."

(Red Flags)
